Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you load a page, Vercel automatically processes:

• your IP address
• information about your browser, network, and device
• the URL you requested and the response status
• a timestamp

Vercel needs this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Logs are kept briefly per Vercel's standard retention.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure service). Vercel processes data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Analytics

I use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which content is useful. It counts page views in an aggregated, cookieless way: no identifiers are stored on your device, IP addresses are hashed and discarded server-side, and no cross-site tracking, advertising, or profiling takes place. The aggregated dashboard I see contains:

• which page was viewed
• where you came from (referrer)
• device type, browser, and operating system
• country (derived from your IP, which is then discarded)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful).

Cookies

This site does not set cookies and uses no browser storage that requires consent, that's why you don't see a cookie banner.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data I hold about you
• have it corrected or erased
• restrict or object to its processing
• receive a copy in a portable format
